Job summary

Alachua County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a program coordinator to ensure implementation of specified departmental objectives and coordination of activities with federal, state, and local agencies. The role emphasizes administrative efficiency and compliance with standards, under supervision.

The position is grant-funded with benefits offered but no guarantee of permanent employment, and requires a valid Florida driver license and background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, real estate, human services or related field and one year of experience in housing and community development, social services, grants or project management; or equivalent training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Exudes a positive customer service focus.
• Advocates building organizational culture through aligning decisions with the County's core values.
• Selects employees and/or volunteers according to knowledge and experience in area with which program is concerned.
• Confers with staff to explain program responsibilities for functions and phases of program.
• Reviews reports and records of program activity to ensure progress toward objectives.
• Modifies and/or changes program methodology to attain objectives.
