Job summary

Executive Mental Health seeks a licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide on-site psychological care in skilled nursing facilities in California. The role focuses on geriatric mental health, cognitive needs, and complex medical conditions, working within a multidisciplinary team to improve resident quality of life.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, and supporting behaviors, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, person-centered care and Medicare-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology.
• Licensed to practice in California.
• Medicare-eligible and credentialing supported by employer.
• Evidence-based practice and clinical flexibility.
• Comfort with complexity and ambiguity in geriatric settings.
• Desire for autonomy with collaboration and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat geriatric and medically complex residents in skilled nursing facilities.
• Provide evidence-based psychological services and therapy to SNF residents.
• Manage a caseload with clinical manager and admin support.
• Collaborate with facility staff and multidisciplinary teams for care planning.
• Ensure documentation meets medical necessity and Medicare standards.
