Job summary

The Salvation Army, Syracuse Area Services is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to support individuals and families in our community. The role focuses on crisis intervention, advocacy, and service planning to promote stability and independence.

You will conduct intakes, develop service plans, connect clients with housing and community resources, and provide life skills training to reduce homelessness risks. A flexible schedule and access to benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Flexible work schedule including late afternoon/evening hours.
• Must have reliable private transportation.
• Background and drug screening required.
• Valid NYS Driver License as per policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, advocacy, and crisis intervention to individuals and families.
• Conduct client intakes and develop individualized service plans.
• Identify unmet needs, advocate for clients, connect with community resources.
• Assist clients with housing assistance, budgeting, and housing stability.
• Provide life skills training and guidance to promote self-sufficiency.
• Conduct home visits and housing inspections; maintain records.
