Job summary

Leidos in the United States' Chinook program is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver cloud-native software for GEOINT missions. You’ll work across microservices, REST APIs, and web interfaces with modern frameworks while collaborating with mission stakeholders in an Agile environment.

You will contribute to CI/CD, secure coding practices, and DevSecOps automation, with opportunities to mentor teammates and grow technically in a dynamic national

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to pass a Polygraph examination.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4–8 years of experience or Master’s with 2–6 years of experience.
• Proficiency with Web: HTML, CSS, JSON, REST APIs; OOP: Python/Java/JavaScript; Go; Front-end/back-end frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.js, Spring Boot, Django, Node.js, Flask, or Svelte; Cloud: AWS/Azure; RDBMS: MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server; OS: Windows/Linux; Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions supporting GEOINT missions.
• Participate in agile sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Build and maintain secure, containerized applications with Docker/Kubernetes and AWS.
• Develop RESTful APIs and modern UIs using React/Node.js/Flask/Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with users and product managers to refine requirements and UX.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and ensure security and accreditation compliance.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
• Handle prioritized tasks from the product owner.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Master’s degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience
