Job summary

Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center seeks a Forensic Interviewer to conduct forensic interviews with children or adults with disabilities who are alleged victims of abuse, traveling between Midland, Andrews, and Big Spring.

The role requires a bachelor’s or associate degree in social work, psychology, or criminal justice, or at least one year of related experience, plus strong communication skills and ongoing professional training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in social work, psychology, or criminal justice or 1 year of human services experience as substitute.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse professionals from child protection, law enforcement, court systems, and community services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic interviews with children or adults with disabilities who are alleged victims of abuse or witnesses to violence.
• Collaborate with investigative partners and non-offending caregivers.
• Document case information in the case tracking system database.
• Travel between MRCCAC offices in Midland, Andrews, and Big Spring.
• Serve as liaison with law enforcement, District Attorneys, and other partners.
• Testify in criminal, juvenile, and civil court when subpoenaed.
• Attend trainings and maintain continuing education requirements.
