Job summary

Ann Arbor YMCA is seeking a part-time Financial Assistance Coordinator/Manager on Duty to oversee scholarship programs, child development center and camp financial aid, and to ensure smooth evening and weekend operations. The role also focuses on member services, communications, and adherence to confidentiality guidelines.

The incumbent will split responsibilities between managing financial assistance and serving as MOD, handling data, budget duties, and collaboration with the Finance Department

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of college completed.
• 1–3 years YMCA experience or related field.
• Strong oral and written communication; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA within 60 days).
• Capable of using basic Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial assistance program, scholarships, and related allocations.
• Support member services and DRIVE member engagement and registrations.
• Communicate with applicants and ensure timely responses and data accuracy.
• Oversee MOD coverage and building operations during evening and weekend hours.
• Coordinate with Finance for billing, collections, and budget monitoring.
• Maintain documentation and ensure confidentiality of member information.
