Job summary

La Frontera EMPACT - Suicide Prevention Center seeks a Child/Family Support Counselor to work with children and families in Glendale or Tempe offices. The role emphasizes supportive relationships, case coordination, and crisis intervention within community-based and home settings.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED and BHT level certification per AZDHS/BHS, plus experience with behavioral needs in children and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BHT level certification required by AZDHS/BHS.
• Experience with children with behavioral needs preferred.
• Ability to engage families and coordinate with DCS.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and support to children and families in home or community settings.
• Coordinate case management and communicate community resources.
• Assist with crisis stabilization and family teams as needed.
• Maintain documentation, charts, and referrals in a timely manner.
• Contribute to living skills coaching and respite for families.
