Job summary

EMPACT-SPC is seeking a Family Support Counselor to serve children and families in our Glendale or Tempe offices. The role involves coordinating case management, providing in-home and community-based counseling, and facilitating Child and Family Teams with a family-centered approach.

You will work on a flexible schedule, support living skills, and engage with diverse families in the community. AZ 12 Principles guide practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BHT level AZDHS/BHS required.
• Experience with children with behavioral needs.
• Experience working with parents on parenting skills and modeling.
• Able to engage with others, coordinate with DCS and follow up promptly.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home family and individual counseling.
• Coordinate case management and community resources.
• Mentor children and support living skills in community settings.
• Assist with crisis stabilization and safety planning.
• Work with family networks to reduce risk and support positive outcomes.
