Job summary

DCCCA in Kansas is seeking a dedicated case manager to support children and families during the referral period with safety, stability and well-being at the forefront. You will deliver strengths-based, culturally competent services under supervision and policies.

You will connect with families within 24 hours, conduct home visits, develop assessments and case plans, and document activities. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel among locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services is required.
  • Experience in behavioral health or children/family services preferred.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid state Driver's License and insurable vehicle are required.
  • Reliable transportation is required for travel between locations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety, stability and well-being of children during referral period.
  • Deliver strengths-based, culturally competent case management services.
  • Meet timelines and connect with families within 24 hours.
  • Hold weekly home visits and monthly child safety assessments.
  • Develop family assessments and case plans with community referrals.
  • Submit timely court reports and testify in court as required.
  • Drive to various DCCCA locations as needed.
