Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the 81st U.S. Army Reserve DPW in Columbia, South Carolina.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to mission readiness through planning, design, maintenance, and construction support for Army Reserve facilities. The engineer will perform field data collection, technical drafting, HVAC system support, and coordination with government personnel and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with UFC standards and Army

Qualifications

• Professional engineering registrations or licenses are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support across planning, design, maintenance and execution of Army Reserve real property projects.
• Conduct field data collection and engineering analysis for facility systems.
• Prepare scopes of work, estimates and documentation for repair projects.
• Coordinate with government personnel and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with UFC and Army standards.
• Travel to site assessments as needed.
