Job summary

The Building People, LLC seeks a Facilities Mechanical/HVAC Project Specialist to support the 81st U.S. Army Reserve Directorate of Public Works in Columbia, SC.

You will contribute to planning, assessment, maintenance, repair, and execution of Army Reserve real property projects by collecting field data, assessing systems, and developing repair scopes. Coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders to ensure UFC compliance, prepare repair plans and estimates, and document activities in

Qualifications

• HVAC systems experience and knowledge of mechanical facilities operations.
• Experience with facility condition assessments and repair scope development.
• Experience with CMMS/FEMS documentation and IGE/ PWS concepts.
• Background in federal facilities programs or DPW/public works support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess HVAC and mechanical deficiencies and develop repair recommendations.
• Perform field surveys, site assessments, and drawing verification to support maintenance requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, repair plans, scopes of work, and Independent Government Estimates (IGE).
• Coordinate with government personnel, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project completion and compliance with standards.
• Upload project documentation into CMMS, FEMS, or other designated systems.
• Ensure work aligns with Army standards, UFC, and applicable codes.
