Job summary

United Way of McPherson County seeks an Executive Director to provide visionary and strategic leadership for the community. The role partners with a strong Board to drive mission impact, fiscal stewardship, and program excellence in McPherson County.

The position oversees strategic planning, fundraising, communications, and organizational management while fostering community partnerships and inclusive volunteer engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, social sciences, or related field; or equivalent work.
• 1-3 years of experience in non-for-profit or another relevant environment; familiarity with nonprofit sector.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Board to ensure mission achievement through a comprehensive multi-year strategic plan.
• Establish action plans and progress metrics to track strategic objectives.
• Lead execution of strategic action plans with accountable owners.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, social sciences, or related field; or equivalent work
