The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Massachusetts ESL license, and will collaborate across classrooms to support English language development and academic achievement for multilingual learners.

Qualifications

• Education Level: Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Hold a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in ESL at the appropriate grade level.
• Complete state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.

Responsibilities

• Teach English as a Second Language to multilingual learners identified as English Learners.
• Collaborate with content teachers to align instruction to language development and content needs.
• Collaborate with instructional leadership to ensure language support and academic assistance.
• Assist with ACCESS administration oversight and delivery.
• Prepare for ELL student transition meetings as appropriate.
• Plan lessons aligned to WIDA standards for varying proficiency levels.
• Display culturally proficient practices and integrate technology as needed.
• Assist with administration of mandated state and local assessments for ELL students.
