AMS—Academies of Math and Science in Phoenix seeks an English Language Development Teacher (K–8) to empower Title I and ESL students through data-driven instruction and a rigorous, inclusive curriculum.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping Title I and ESL students in underserved communities.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain an IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction.
• Adaptability and willingness to implement a rigorous, proven curriculum.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to take initiative and work as part of a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Use AMS curriculum standards to teach students above and below grade level through differentiated instruction.
• Attend weekly professional development sessions and collaborate in grade-level or content-area professional learning communities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and lead parent-student-teacher conferences to promote student progress and achievement.
• Collaborate with administrators and staff to create a positive, supportive learning environment that addresses academic and behavioral needs.
• Use measurable data to monitor and enrich student progress with visible results.
• Work collaboratively with school and network teams to improve instructional practices and ensure ongoing academic success.
• Use PBIS and preventative intervention strategies to guide students in developing social and emotional skills essential for lifelong learning.
