Job summary

Ashland School District 5 seeks a QSA Student Affinity Group Advisor for Ashland Middle School on a temporary basis. The role supports student affinity groups, coordinating meetings and activities while upholding district policies and confidentiality.

The position requires facilitation, coordination with administrators, and ongoing development through district and regional trainings. Start date is 08/31/2026 with salary governed by the 2025-26 schedule and a plan for 2026-27 to be determined.

Qualifications

• Current employees of the Ashland School District are strongly preferred.
• Personally identify with the same affinity as students in the affinity group, or demonstrate a strong allyship for the particular affinity group.

Responsibilities

• Attend affinity group advisor orientation.
• Collaborate with other affinity group advisors quarterly.
• Annually pass the District's online training by the assigned due date.
• Coordinate meetings with site administrator approval.
• Identify potential student participants and draft invitations, using confidential methods.
