Job summary

Point72, a leading global investment firm, seeks a data‑driven analyst for its Fundamental Equities team in Stamford. You will design and maintain data products and predictive models to support idea generation and investment decisions.

Ideal candidates hold an undergraduate degree, strong coding skills (Python/R), and experience with time‑series and unstructured data; you will translate business questions into data‑driven solutions and work closely with teams across the firm.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or higher.
• Quantitative ability demonstrated through coursework or work equivalent.
• Experience with structured, unstructured (e.g., text), and time-series data.
• Strong understanding of statistics and their application to large-scale data analysis for financial datasets.
• Strong coding skills in a high-level language (Python or R); familiarity with Git and collaborative development.

Responsibilities

• Analyze a broad universe of data to influence idea generation and investment decisions.
• Design, build, and maintain data products and predictive models for KPIs and forward-looking metrics.
• Investigate and explore innovative approaches to extract meaningful information from complex datasets.
• Develop agile, automated systems that ingest, synthesize, and analyze data in real-time for actionable insights.
• Optimize and scale data infrastructure for performance, reliability, and adaptability.
• Develop and maintain modular code and data pipelines with thorough documentation.
• Stay updated on technologies approved for firm-wide use.
• Partner with Compliance on data sources, permissibility of systems, and analytics.
