Job summary

Point72 is seeking a motivated analyst to join its Fundamental Equities team in Stamford, CT. You will learn the investing process, build models, and develop actionable investment recommendations for portfolio managers, while engaging with industry conferences and relationships with analysts.

You will conduct in-depth company research, analyze macro trends, and leverage firm resources to grow as an investor, upholding the firm’s highest ethical standards and compliance partnership.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, hedge fund, investment management or another relevant industry role.
• Strong financial modeling and business analysis skills.
• Passion for public markets investing.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Learn your PM’s and team’s investing process and exchange insights, identify cross-sector themes, and debate investment ideas
• Build and refine detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses of public companies within your sector
• Conduct fundamental research on individual companies, industries, and subsectors to identify emerging risks and potential investment opportunities
• Develop and present actionable investment recommendations directly to your PM
• Attend conferences and industry events
• Build relationships with relevant sell-side analysts, salespeople, and research associates
• Embody Point72’s commitment to ethics, professionalism, integrity, and excellence—especially in partnership with our Compliance team
• Analyze and incorporate macroeconomic and industry-specific developments and trends into your research
