Job summary

Point72 is seeking a data-centric analyst/developer for its Fundamental Equities team in the United States. You will analyze diverse data, build data products and predictive models, and develop automated systems to ingest and analyze real-time information to inform investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or higher.
• Quantitative ability demonstrated through coursework or work.
• Experience with diverse data types including structured, unstructured (e.g., text), and time-series data.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts applied to large-scale data analysis, especially for financial datasets.
• Strong coding skills in Python or R; familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Strong data visualization skills using Python or R.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into data-driven solutions.
• Team player with an entrepreneurial spirit and good communication skills.
• Curiosity and lifelong-learning mindset; commitment to high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Help analyze a broad universe of data to influence idea generation and investment decisions.
• Design, build, and maintain data products and predictive models for KPIs and forward-looking metrics.
• Investigate and explore innovative approaches to extract meaningful information from complex datasets.
• Develop automated systems that ingest, synthesize, and analyze real-time data to produce actionable insights.
• Optimize and scale data infrastructure for performance, reliability, and adaptability.
• Create high-quality, efficient, modular code and well-documented data pipelines.
• Stay updated on technologies approved for use across the firm.
• Partner with Compliance on data sources, system permissibility, and analytics.
