Job summary

Modivcare seeks an Exception Specialist I to accurately fulfill and approve transport requests before or after service completion, leveraging internal and external resources and coordinating with members, facilities, clients, and other parties.

The role emphasizes standing orders management, cost-control data contributions, and collaborative problem-solving within a service-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating, modifying, and recertifying standing orders under supervision.
• Support the management of standing orders and hospital discharge trip assignments.
• Assist in ensuring cost-saving measures by providing data for review.
• Maintain and update the facility rolodex with guidance.
• Assist in investigating and reporting customer service issues and exceptions.
• Provide initial assistance with benefit utilization issues, verifications, waivers, and pre-authorizations.
• Participate in the denial and appeal process under supervision.
• Assist in conducting cancellation audits to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Support the management team in provider liquidated damages and recoupment tasks.
• Assist with handling straightforward utilization issues.
• Review utilization and billing trends and report findings to seniors.
