Job summary

Ottumwa Regional Health Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Emergency Services Technician (EST) to join our fast-paced ED team on a PRN basis. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process and support essential clinical operations.

Qualifications

• Recent Emergency Department experience required.
• Requires ability to follow nursing process and standards.
• CNA/EMT/Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care interventions including meds, specimens, treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines including transfers and discharge.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age and condition.
• Advocates for patient well-being.
