Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, IA is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join as a PRN team member. You will support ED operations, triage processes, and patient transport under the direction of the ED physician or RN.

This role requires current Iowa EMT certification, a Class D driver's license, and BCLS certification, with preferred FR/EMT experience. Competitive benefits and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Iowa EMT certification and Class D Driver's license.
• BCLS and Mandatory Reporter certifications required.
• Experience as FR or EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a team member in multiple EMS-related teams.
• Assists with triage as requested by team leader.
• Assists ED patients from triage to discharge under supervision.
• Performs procedures within EMS scope of practice.
• Transports patients to procedures or inpatient units.
• Participates in run audits and QA assignments monthly.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in committee activities.
• Documents run reports and charge batching.
