Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract near Central Falls, RI. You will deliver specialized instruction to elementary students with diverse needs and collaborate with families and teams to implement IEPs.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate to the state.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and a collaborative approach.
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to elementary students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Adapt instructional materials and methods to accommodate individual student goals.
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and participation.
• Communicate proactively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure continuity of services.
• Foster a classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement, independence, and growth.
