Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an elementary caseload near Wood River Junction, RI. This full-time contract runs through the school year, with a start as soon as possible.

The role focuses on students with severe and profound intellectual disabilities, requiring RI certification and strong IEP experience. You will collaborate with school staff, support providers, and families, delivering targeted instruction and maintaining accurate progress documentation

Qualifications

• Valid RI Department of Education certification as an All Grades Special Education - Severe Intellectual Disabilities Teacher (SEID).
• Experience supporting students with severe or profound disabilities in elementary setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and related service providers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored instruction and interventions for students with significant intellectual disabilities.
• Develop, implement, and review IEPs.
• Track progress and maintain documentation per district/state requirements.
• Work with families, support staff, and educators to plan comprehensive supports.
• Adapt curriculum and materials for diverse learner needs.
