Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a contract Special Education Teacher to support elementary students (Kindergarten–5th grade) in a resource setting in Michigan. This full-time role runs through the end of the academic year and starts as soon as possible.

You will deliver individualized and small group instruction, develop and monitor IEPs, assess progress, and document outcomes while collaborating with general education staff, families, and support teams.

Qualifications

Michigan Special Education Teaching certification (MI SPED) required.
Experience with elementary students in resource or inclusive settings.
Strong collaboration with general education staff, parents, and support teams.
Ability to adapt lesson plans to diverse learning needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.

Responsibilities

Deliver individualized and small group instruction in a resource classroom.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs per state and federal requirements.
Assess progress and maintain detailed documentation.
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support personnel for student success.
Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom atmosphere supporting academic and social development.
