Job summary

Sourcewell is seeking a Long Term Sub Elementary Paraprofessional to support certified staff and help students meet instructional goals. The role involves assisting with reading, math, and computer activities, and providing supervision during lunch, bus, and field trips.

The paraprofessional will work five days a week at the Elementary building, assisting with IEPs and classroom strategies to maximize student participation and safety in a diverse school setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College coursework or NCLB exam completion is desirable.
• Experience with students with special needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist students to reinforce reading, language arts, math, and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups.
• Assist staff with administration and correction of exercises and assessments.
• Prepare materials and implement instructional strategies to meet student needs.
• Document student learning and performance through record-keeping.
