Shaw-Taylor Elementary in Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in an innovative, high-quality education program. This temporary vacancy covers for a paraprofessional on leave, with an anticipated vacancy by 11/05/2026 and a current end date of 05/03/2027 if the current paraprofessional returns.

The role involves direct instructional support, classroom assistance, material preparation, and supervision of students on field trips.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 college credit hours or an Associate's Degree or passing ParaPro or WorkKeys certifications.
• Minimum of two years experience with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by start date.

Responsabilidades

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities and prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up and manages behavior.
• Supervises students on field trips and performs other duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
