Job summary

SA Recycling LLC seeks an EHS Technician to support environmental, health, and safety programs at our facility. You will conduct inspections, assist with training, and document safety activities to promote a compliant workplace.

The role involves indoor/outdoor work in varying weather, with emphasis on hazard identification and strong safety culture. Prior OSHA knowledge and bilingual skills are valued; a post-offer drug screen and background check apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in safety, environmental compliance, manufacturing, recycling, construction, industrial operations, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and workplace hazard recognition preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training is preferred; additional EHS certifications are a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections of the yard, equipment, work areas, vessels, and facilities; identify hazards and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist with implementation and enforcement of company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Monitor employee work practices and provide coaching when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed.
• Assist with accident, injury, near-miss, and property-damage investigations; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, inspection reports, training records, incident documentation, and other required paperwork.
• Assist with required safety meetings, toolbox talks, orientations, and employee training.
• Support OSHA compliance activities, including inspections, recordkeeping, hazard communication, PPE, emergency preparedness, and other applicable requirements.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities, inspections, waste management, spill prevention, and proper handling of regulated materials.
• Inspect and monitor personal protective equipment (PPE), safety equipment, emergency equipment, and signage.
• Assist supervisors and management with safety concerns, corrective actions, and employee questions.
• Participate in emergency response activities, drills, and investigations as assigned.
• Communicate safety and environmental concerns promptly to management and recommend practical solutions.
• Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned.
