Job summary

McKesson Corporation is seeking an Environmental Health, Safety & Security Specialist in Houston to reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect people and assets. This individual contributor role collaborates with DC Leadership to embed safety and security into daily operations and to drive continuous improvement across the site.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, and proficiency with security systems.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience monitoring and managing compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, DEA).
• Knowledge of physical and electronic security equipment such as video, access control, and alarm systems.
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between site and Global Security & Safety team to align with standards and protocols.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with GSS policies at site level.
• Lead initiatives to implement safety and security protocols to exceed standards at the DC.
• Develop risk assessments and mitigation plans from safety metrics and incident data.
• Measure Safety Performance Index and develop action plans to address deficiencies.
• Drive safety culture through site audits and safety committee leadership.
• Lead site Ergonomics Champion activities and manage Safety Action Plans.
• Oversee physical and electronic security systems and programs.
• Lead security training and onboarding, including Powered Industrial Truck training.
• Engage with safety initiatives and escalate issues for effective implementation.
