Job summary

BSI is seeking an EHS Consulting Specialist in Seattle, WA. This early-career role supports environmental, health, and safety client engagements across industries, with fieldwork, data collection, and client interaction under guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an EHS or related field
• 2–3 years of EHS or IH-related experience (internships and co-ops count)
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and team members
• Willingness to travel for client-related projects
• Must have a valid driver’s license and car and be able to drive for client-related projects
• Must be able to travel by plane outside the region to support client work in other locations

Responsibilities

• Conduct industrial hygiene assessments, including IAQ, exposure assessments, investigations, and air/noise sampling
• Support regulatory compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards
• Perform inspections, hazard/risk assessments, and audits; help develop corrective actions
• Assist in developing and improving EHS management systems (ISO 14001/45001)
• Develop and deliver health, safety, and environmental training programs
• Contribute to sustainability and CSR initiatives (energy reduction, waste minimization)
• Support environmental compliance activities (air emissions, wastewater, hazardous waste)
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and workstation evaluations
• Collect and analyze data to identify risks and recommend improvements
• Prepare reports and present findings to clients
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams on various projects
• Stay current on regulations and best practices to support high-quality services
