Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking an Exceptional Children Teacher Assistant to support EC students under supervision. You will assist the assigned teacher, guide students toward IEP goals, and help provide access to general education as needed.

Starting immediately, full-time, 09 months, with duties including supervising students, preparing materials, and coordinating with teachers to reinforce learning concepts.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 48 college credits or WorkKeys/48 hours in-service training
• Completion of NC Teacher Assistant Apprenticeship Program
• One year working with EC children preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with instruction and activities
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and on school grounds
• Support students with IEP goals and data collection
• Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom space
• Assist with attendance procedures and portolio checks
