KIPP North Carolina is seeking an EC Self-Contained Autism Teacher for grades K–5 in North Carolina. You will deliver specialized instruction in a structured classroom, focusing on communication, independence, and social-emotional skills to build student independence.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina EC Certification or reciprocity capability.
• Experience with students with autism, ideally in a self-contained setting.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant content area.
• Criminal background check and commitment to closing opportunity gaps.

Responsibilities

• Provide SDI to K–5 students with autism in a self-contained classroom.
• Implement TEACCH, visual schedules, and structured work systems.
• Collaborate with speech-language, OT, ABA, and other specialists to embed communication supports.
• Maintain IDEA-compliant IEP documentation and progress monitoring.
• Communicate progress with families, general education staff, and administrators.
