Job summary

About Play is seeking an Early Interventionist to serve Georgetown, M. Beach, Surfside counties in South Carolina, delivering family-centered services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.

You will provide in-home or natural-environment coaching to families, train caregivers, and support child development through individualized strategies, monitor progress, and collaborate with a passionate, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or related field, plus 1 year of documented experience with children birth to six years.
Prior early interventionist experience preferred or recent college graduate with related degree and willingness for on‑the‑job training.

Responsibilities

Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
Perform family training with the caregiver and child in home, daycare or natural environment setting.
Provide training, education, and support to families in child development, parenting, and family functioning.
Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
Monitor the progress of the child and family.
