Job summary

About Play is seeking an Early Interventionist to serve in South Carolina, including Georgetown, M. Beach, Surfside, and surrounding counties. The role centers on delivering family-centered early intervention services to babies and toddlers with developmental delays in home or natural settings.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience or 5 years of experience with infants/toddlers plus a willingness for on-the-job training; must reside in SC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or any related field, plus 1 year of documented experience with children birth to six years old.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ANY field and 5 years of documented experience with infants and toddlers OR children birth to 5 with disabilities.
• Must reside in South Carolina for consideration.
• Must have at least 1 year of Experience w Children 0-6 Yr

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Perform Family Training with the caregiver and child in their home, daycare or natural environment setting
• Provide training, education, and support to families in the areas of child development, parenting, and family functioning.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
• Monitor the progress of the child and family.

Education
