Job summary

University of Southern California's School for Early Childhood Education in Los Angeles is hiring a Home Visitor for Early Head Start. The role provides high-quality early childhood education and family health support to ten to twelve families, 15 children, through home visits and bi-monthly socialization times.

The Home Visitor designs activities to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth in the home, engages parents, and ensures compliance with Head Start standards while working

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development or Social Work.
• 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
• CA driver's license and DMV Pull Notice eligibility.
• California CDP or Family Development Credential.
• Infant and Child First Aid/CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads planning and implementation of personal care and daily educational activities.
• Maintains health, safety, and upkeep of the learning environment.
• Plans and coordinates programs; orders supplies and materials as needed.
• Prepares and submits home visits, lesson plans, and reports timely.
• Maintains visit records and supports families in health, nutrition, mental health, and education.
• Evaluates children and maintains progress records.
• Ensures compliance with licensing, safety and accreditation standards.
• Liaises with parents and stakeholders; participates in meetings and coaching.
