Job summary

Lake Family Resource Center seeks an Early Head Start Home Visitor to provide comprehensive family support within the Early Head Start program. You will conduct home visits, model parenting skills, and connect families with health, nutrition, and developmental resources in a culturally sensitive manner.

You will develop individualized plans for each child, facilitate parent meetings, and collaborate with other program components to integrate educational goals into the home setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• CDA credential or equivalent coursework in child development or early childhood education.
• Bilingual Spanish/English encouraged to apply.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; team player preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide home visits and weekly 90-minute meetings with each family on roster.
• Assist parents with setting and implementing long- and short-term goals for their children.
• Plan and develop Partnership Agreements and provide information and referrals.
• Provide health and nutrition information and arrange screenings and vaccinations.
• Maintain records of health visits and IFSP-related documents.
• Offer resource referrals and advocate for families with community services.
• Model positive communication and child development techniques.
• Meet the needs of all children, including those with special needs and diverse backgrounds.
• Coordinate with service providers to develop Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP).
• Promote best practices through observation and collaboration with families and staff.
