Job summary

All Kids Academy Head Start is seeking an Early Childhood Behavior Specialist to support teachers and children, ensuring safety and adherence to Head Start standards within classrooms.

Under supervision, you will implement behavior plans, collaborate with mental health staff, and help with referrals while promoting social-emotional development and compliance with program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Development, Child Development, or related field.
• Minimum of 12 semester units of ECE/Child Development courses.
• Experience in early childhood classroom support and social-emotional development.
• Proficient computer skills: Internet and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Observe classroom behavior and help develop Behavior Plans.
• Collect parent/teacher input to tailor behavior strategies.
• Coordinate referrals for evaluations and family support.
• Provide classroom management and environment adjustments for social-emotional well-being.
• Assist teachers in identifying age-appropriate and atypical behaviors.
