Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a Dyslexia Specialist to support students with reading difficulties and build their academic skills. The role emphasizes explicit, multisensory instruction aligned with state standards and collaboration with campus teams.

You will design targeted intervention plans, monitor progress, and participate in ARD meetings, ensuring compliance with TEA guidelines while prioritizing student success and growth in literacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Texas Educator Certification with Dyslexia training preferred; MTA required.
• Knowledge of Texas dyslexia laws and ARD/IDEA processes; experience with dyslexia intervention and progress monitoring preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Dyslexia Intervention: Deliver dyslexia instruction aligned with the Texas Dyslexia Handbook.
• Develop Individualized Support Plans with campus teams using student data and evaluations.
• Monitor Student Progress: collect and analyze data to track growth and adjust instruction.
• Collaborate with general education, special education staff, diagnosticians and families; participate in ARD & Section 504 meetings as appropriate.
• Ensure Compliance: document services per TEA guidelines and district procedures.
• Support Student Growth: build confidence, independence, and literacy skills.
