Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a Dyslexia Specialist to support students with reading difficulties and build lasting literacy skills. You will deliver explicit, multisensory instruction aligned with the Texas Dyslexia Handbook and collaborate with campus teams on targeted interventions.

You will monitor progress, participate in ARD meetings as appropriate, maintain compliant documentation, and work closely with teachers, families, and diagnosticians to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Texas Educator Certification required; Dyslexia certification or TEA-approved Dyslexia training (MTA) preferred.
• Knowledge of Texas dyslexia laws and IDEA/ARD processes.
• Experience providing dyslexia intervention and progress monitoring preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Dyslexia Intervention: deliver explicit, multisensory instruction.
• Develop Individualized Support Plans with campus teams.
• Monitor Student Progress: collect and analyze data to track growth.
• Collaborate with Teachers, diagnosticians, and families; participate in ARD/504 as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with TEA guidelines and district procedures.
• Support student growth by building literacy skills and confidence.
