Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in facilities operations and project management.
• Experience with vendor, project and budget management.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Experience interacting with diverse communities and cultural competency.
• OSHA certification within the first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the work of one to three units comprising up to 20 staff.
• Directing, managing, evaluating, and mentoring facilities staff for best performance, with regular check-ins for course-correction.
• Creating and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive continuous improvement.
• Recommending and implementing strategies for operational efficiencies; driving KPI-based performance improvements through daily monitoring and dashboards (Zendesk & Asana).
• Overseeing the facilities budget; forecasting and planning yearly spending; building reliable project budgets.
• Fostering effective communication across teams and overseeing interdepartmental initiatives.
• Improving energy and refuse cost and environmental impacts.
• Overseeing warehouse operations and improving inventory control.
• Directing Safety & Surroundings Committee and campus-wide emergency preparedness plan.
