Job summary

LSS is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help people with identified needs pursue their goals through person-centered care. You’ll build relationships, assist with daily living activities, support community involvement, and advocate for rights and preferences in a residential group home setting serving up to 4 individuals.

Starting wage is $16.00/hour with potential to $16.50/hour after six months.

Qualifications

No prior experience or formal education required—we provide training.
Comfort with basic computer use to document care and stay connected with the team.
Ability to read and write in English for clear communication.
A valid driver’s license and safe driving record, with ability to pass a DMV check.
Ability to pass a DHS background check to ensure safety for those served.

Responsibilities

Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene, meals, household tasks, and transportation.
Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
Advocate for people’s rights, needs, and preferences.
Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed.
Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs.
Collaborative, mission-driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion.
