Job summary

LSS is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support people with identified needs through person-centered care in a collaborative team environment.

Pay starts at $17/hr with a potential raise to $17.50/hr after six months and includes a $1000 hiring bonus. The role involves assisting with daily living activities in a residential group home setting for up to four people, while promoting dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or formal education required.
• Comfort with basic computer use.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• A valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to pass a DHS background check.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene needs, meals, household support/cleaning, and transportation.
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
• Advocate for people with identified needs’ rights, needs, and preferences.
• Monitor health and well‑being and report changes as needed.
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs.
• Collaborative, mission‑driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion.
