Job summary

Best Buddies International is seeking a Deputy Director, Family Support to oversee all elements of the family support program in a specific state. The role focuses on recruitment, training, and achieving program benchmarks, with leadership on the Eunie’s Buddies and parent mentor/mentee initiatives.

The position involves collaborating with local partners, reporting to the State Director, and traveling as needed, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least three years relevant experience.
• Experience in program development and leading volunteers.
• Nonprofit experience preferred and commitment to the mission.
• Superior writing and presentation skills with ability to inspire and articulate goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital meeting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all day-to-day operations of Family Support programs in the state.
• Travel within the assigned area to recruit mentors/mentees and promote the program.
• Launch and manage the Eunie’s Buddies program, training volunteers and monitoring outcomes.
• Collaborate with the State Director and community partners to meet program goals.
• Coordinate training, match processes, and community events 3–4 times per year.
• Develop partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and other organizations.
