Best Buddies International is seeking a Deputy Director, Family Support to manage the state Family Support program, recruit/train volunteers, and meet program benchmarks. The role includes launching the Eunie’s Buddies program, coordinating parent mentor/mentee initiatives, and collaborating with community partners.

The position requires leadership, nonprofit experience, strong writing/presentation skills, and willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least three years relevant experience.
• Experience in program development and leading volunteers.
• Nonprofit experience preferred and belief in our mission.
• Strong writing and presentation skills with the ability to persuade and inspire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital meeting tools.
• Understanding of parental issues for families with IDD.
• Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
• Initiative and leadership to guide volunteers and programs.
• Reliability and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Access to automobile/insurance and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all day-to-day Family Support operations in the assigned state.
• Travel to recruit mentors/mentees and promote the program locally.
• Launch Eunie’s Buddies program and manage volunteer training and outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet program goals and benchmarks.
• Identify and engage potential parent mentors and mentees.
• Match mentors/mentees and train volunteers to ensure success.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations and hospitals.
• Coordinate 3–4 community socials annually.
• Support fundraising and grant-writing efforts as needed.
