Job summary

Best Buddies International is seeking a Deputy Director, Programs (Aspen) to oversee Friendship chapters and support participants in competitive employment. This hybrid Denver-area role involves chapter and volunteer management plus vocational coaching for individuals with IDD.

You will build relationships with leaders, employers, and families; provide trainings and resources; and ensure positive outcomes across Friendship and Employment programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or three years of relevant professional experience.
• Best Buddies program experience is a plus.
• Comfortable engaging with individuals with IDD with empathy.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, social media platforms, and database systems.
• Willing and able to travel frequently, evenings and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of school- and/or community-based Friendship chapters, serving as the main contact.
• Provide trainings, resources, and guidance on Best Buddies policies and expectations.
• Track and report chapter participation, recruitment, and outcomes using online tools.
• Ensure compliance with program guidelines, including risk management and leadership development.
• Facilitate opportunities for chapter members to engage in state and national events.
