Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a Licensed Social Worker to support K-12 students in the Washington, DC area. The role involves counseling students with disabilities, coordinating with school staff, families, and community resources to help students achieve academic, behavioral, social, and developmental goals.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the Student Support Team, development of plans of assistance, and providing crisis intervention and psycho-education as part of comprehensive student

Qualifications

• Experience providing preventive and supportive services to students, staff, and families.
• Ability to consult with school staff and parents to support student growth.
• Experience obtaining information on environmental factors affecting student progress.
• Experience conducting home visits to promote home/school communication.
• Ability to work with SST and develop student support plans.
• Experience coordinating school and community services.
• Role as liaison with home, school, and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Provide psycho-education and crisis intervention as needed.
• Deliver parent training and support to families.
• Participate in MDT, IEP, and related meetings.
• Support special education goals and transition skills.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources.
