Job summary

Brightway Living & Learning, a premier non-profit on Long Island, seeks a Day Program Coordinator to manage daily day programming operations and compliance with OPWDD regulations. The role requires a Bachelor’s in human services and 3+ years of supervisory experience within OPWDD services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, required.
• 3 years supervisory experience in OPWDD services.
• Knowledge of OPWDD Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of day programming.
• Identify interests and abilities; develop and monitor creative, person specific programming.
• Monitor program trends and formulate/implement plans of corrective actions as needed.
• Handle crisis situations according to emergency procedures and policies; provide protective oversight and advocacy.
• Directly supervise Program Manager and oversee staff hiring, training, supervision and evaluation.
• Ensure documentation to support daily units of service and timely weekly billing; ensure notes meet standards.
