Job summary

Brightway Living & Learning is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Adult Day Services to lead operations across Day Habilitation, Vocational, and related programs on Long Island. The role collaborates with families, external providers, and internal teams to ensure high-quality services.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in senior management, with strong knowledge of regulatory policies, budgeting, training, and incident management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related human services field or equivalent.
• Seven (7) years of advanced management experience in providing services to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of State, Federal and OPWDD policies and regulations.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Suite.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all program operations of the Agency’s Adult Day Services (Day Habilitation, Vocational, Respite, and related programs).
• Hire and manage employees to meet ADS objectives.
• Provide training to ensure high competency across staff.
• Develop annual budgets for each program and manage expenses to meet goals.
• Supervise programs to deliver high-quality services aligned with the agency’s mission.
• Solicit feedback from individuals, families, and stakeholders to improve programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and certifications; implement quality improvement plans.
• Maintain safe, supportive environments for people served and staff.
