Job summary

Brightway Living & Learning is a premier non-profit provider of human services on Long Island, including educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational programs. As Residential Program Manager you will oversee daily operations at Spring Meadow & Sagamore houses, guiding staff and supporting adults with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Two years experience working with developmentally disabled adults.
• Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral Support.
• Must be able to lift/move/carry 20 lbs and run short distances as needed.
• Valid NYS driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle employment and staffing needs for your residence, including hiring, evaluations, supervision, and payroll data submission.
• Maintain emergency procedures and implement crisis responses.
• Train new staff to work with individuals served.
• Ensure certifications for all staff (TB, AMAP, CPR) and provide annual recertifications.
• Maintain staff schedules, run meetings, and participate in interdisciplinary teams.
• Write and implement Annual Program Plans, goals, and protocols.
• Participate in Behavior Plan writing and the Annual Plan components.
• Evaluate monthly progress and set new objectives.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments.
• Complete operating checklists and budget processes.
• Manage bookkeeping for individuals (Nami payments, SSI, tax refunds).
• Coordinate with Psychology, Nutrition/Fitness, Nursing, Day Hab, Residential, Service Coordination.
• Complete incident reports and SCIP-R reports, review for accuracy and submit monthly.
• Interface with parents and involve them in the program plan.
• Advocate for individuals and explore new programming ideas.
• Be on-call 24/7 for staffing/emergency problems.
• Performs all job functions of the community instructor as needed.
