Job summary

New Mexico CYFD is seeking a motivated coordinator to support investigations, permanency and placement units by assisting caseworkers in field activities and documentation. The role focuses on gathering collateral information, setting up services, and assisting with referrals and visits across multiple cases.

The ideal candidate will work directly with children, youth and their families, coordinate with community providers and help ensure timely assessments and safety planning.

Qualifications

• Experience related to working with Children, Youth and their families.
• Ability to partner with Community Service providers.
• Experience working with youth in school settings.
• Ability to determine eligibility for needed services.
• Ability to assess safety, risks, and family needs; develop safety plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist caseworkers with contacting collaterals, setting up services and appointments.
• Supervise community visits, search for relatives, track records and schedule staffing.
• Enter documentation in FACTS/IMPACT for Caseworkers.
• Support caseworker referrals for services for children and parents, and assist with payments in FACTS/IMPACT for resource parents and providers.
