Qualifications

• Four years of experience in public or private social work including two years in a public welfare program, two of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead casework supervisors and coordinate social service programs for children, youth, and families across Northumberland County.
• Prepare service plans and budget estimates based on community needs and resources.
• Coordinate child welfare services with other county programs and partner agencies.
• Oversee lower level supervisors and guide daily responsibilities.
• Interpret state and federal regulations and advise staff on proper application.
• Direct the preparation of reports, correspondence, and recordkeeping activities.
• Represent the agency in meetings and collaborate with courts and community partners.

Education

Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or related social sciences
